Make a Difference.

"In the darkest of nights I found her standing all alone staring beneath a diamond sky. I could see it was cold outside only by looking at her frozen tears that were left on her rosy cheeks. Her name was Alice. She used to be my kindred spirit and most beloved bosom friend.

With a skin as pale and delicate like the English rose, an angelic temper that would never hurt anyone not even a fly and with two smiling eyes which would always seem friendly. Although somehow I always knew, beneath this perfect surface lied the frightened soul of a seven-year-old.

Her mother was an alcoholic and her father an abuser. Alice experienced it several times per week and saw with her own eyes. There are no words to describe the terror that had filled her home, heart and soul. Unfortunately no one interfered until it was too late. Sadly it ended very badly and little Alice committed suicide at the age of twelve."

The text above is fiction and I was inspired by the Swedish organization BRIS (Children's Rights in Society). For those of you who are struggling with your Christmas presents this year, why not donate an amount to an organization that do good for the younger generation of children and infants all over the world? I will give away an amount and I suggest you do too!

Send your donations to the Swedish Postal account: 90 15 04-1 or visit their website for more information! (Click here!)
