Feeling Creative.

Picture: We heart it

I shall write tomorrow, or perhaps paint? Why? Because you are the reason I'm feeling creative. Colours, calligraphy, ink, love, paint, paper, words.

The best & true inspiration comes directly from the heart. Thank you for inspiring and filling me with such joy to continue with this unique kind of art.

Soft Sunday Evening.

I apologize for my absence here in the blog but it's been yet another busy weekend with work and other fun activities. Last night K and I went to the cinema and we saw "The Three Musketeers". It turned out to be quite good so I definitely recommend it to you!

Besides that I've also spent a few days with A now that he's home from his vacations abroad. We had a delicious brunch at Café Sirap and ate the best American pancakes in Stockholm, yummy! My friend R from work also recently moved in to a new apartment and so she had a small get-together at her place during the evening. It was fun to see everybody and I rocked at singstar! ;)

I'm happy to say that I've also made a suitable gym schedule that I have followed this week and will continue with next week starting off with tomorrow Monday. Somehow after this week I can already feel a great difference and I do have a lot more energy now than before. I feel a lot stronger physically but also deep within. Do not overestimate your health, make sure to look after yourself

True Talents.

Genious! I absolutely love the vocals and creative beats that these Swedish girls created in their video above. They are singing Robyn's song "Call your Girlfriend". Enjoy!

Terrific Tuesday.

Today has been one of those days when everything happens the way you want them to! I've been happy all day and there are several reasons for it.
  1. I'm loaded with lots and lots of positive energy from the trip to Bornholm
  2. I received great news about my grades for my upcoming studies in Örebro
  3. A's finally coming home oKursivn Thursday! I've missed you so
  4. I'm back at the gym and so I'm eating healthier again
  5. I've booked a facial treatment (one hour) on Thursday - nice!
  6. I'm looking forward this weekend's fun plans with work & with family & friend
I could probably make a longer list but I decided to stop here. Time to get ready for an afternoon jog with my younger brother. May you all have a great day/evening depending on what time it is at your place :) Later skaters!

Collage - Bornholm.

Picture: Private - collage made by me (click to enlarge!)

This is the very first collage I've made out of the nearly 3000 pictures that M and I took when we were in Bornholm. We're meeting up tomorrow to exchange pictures from each others cameras so count on more collages this upcoming weeks ;)

I absolutely loved the island and I'm hoping to be able to visit it again sometime, perhaps next summer! For those of you who haven't been there I absolutely recommend it to you for there are plenty of beautiful places to visit & lots of romantic spots too! If you like the British countryside you will love Bornholm!

I'm Home.

After spending six wonderful days at Bornholm with my good friend M I've returned and so I'm home again. I came in late last night and so I deserved to sleep a little bit longer this morning. Still I hate to say it was very depressing to wake up to a thick grey cloud outdoors.

Anyway I've had a great time and yet I'm happy to be back! Ha ha M and went crazy with our cameras and I believe that we've taken more than 2500 pictures (!) and yes I'll try to make a few collage with some of them and post them when I've unpacked.

I just finished breakfast and I'll head to the gym in a bit but I'll be back later with more pictures and fun adventures that I wish to tell you all about! Until then, have a Marvelous Monday!

On our Way.

Picture: Private - taken by M with my iPhone

After an early morning my friend M and I are finally on our way to Bornholm! We started laughing when we met up in town, one can never have to much luggage while travelling, right M? ;)

Monday 17 October 2011

Busy all Day.

It's been a crazy day where it feels like I've been running around everywhere fixing and organizing things for the trip tomorrow. My friend S and I also went to the gym before lunch so truly I've been busy all day today. Anyway luckily I'm all excited about tomorrow, it's going to be so much fun! :)

Still there are two very tired eyes longing to get some sleep.. So I better get some rest and I'll try to post something tomorrow morning before heading to town. Sweet dreams, sleep tight everyone!

Sweet Dreams.

Picture: We heart it

I'm completely exhausted after a long day at work and I'm so longing to get into bed, therefor this short post ;) Anyway I hope you've had a great weekend! I sure have thanks to my family & friends ♥ Besides, I'm also packing for Bornholm on Tuesday! Sorry but this sleepy head needs to get some sleep, sweet dreams

Saturday 15 October 2011

Soft Saturday.

I had a day off from work today since I had planned to do a small road-trip with V to Örebro (about two hours drive outside Stockholm) but sadly he's home feeling sick with fever and all so we had to call it off. Health obviously always comes first, so I hope you'll get well soon my friend :)

Anyway the day was spent at IKEA with two members of my family and my mother and I went a little bit crazy when we saw all the beautiful Christmas ornaments. I know its still a bit early but I honestly can't wait to put up our Christmas lights and other decorations at home. But it will have to wait until November ;)

It's been a soft evening at home and soon we're going to watch "Knight & Day" featuring Cameron Diaz and Tom Cruise, from what I've heard it's supposed to be good? I'll probably turn in early though since I've got to work tomorrow. I hope you've had a great day and that the evening will be even better!

Christmas always comes early to IKEA.

Picture: IKEA Kungens Kurva, Stockholm - taken by me with my iPhone

I spent the entire morning at IKEA with my mother and youngest brother. We had so much fun watching all the new ornaments for this year's Christmas. I bought lovely vanilla scented candles and a new set of indoor string lightning, I'll show you later. I'm happy Christmas always comes early to IKEA.. ;)

Fotografiska Travelling Exhibitions.

Picture: Collage made by me, pictures from Fotografiska Museet

Photographer: Nick Brandt, "On This Earth, A Shadow Falls"

"Nick Brandt’s photograph of an elephant drinking captures, in all its detail, the quiet reserve of this creature, its weathered skin and ivory tusks dusty and worn. Each individual wrinkle, each contour, its gentle gaze, is imbedded into the paper, the result of patience and tripping the shutter at just the right moment..."

"... In September 2010, Brandt established the Big Life Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation of Africa’s wildlife and ecosystems. Brandt’s photographs are more than breathtaking; his images raise awareness and funds for the preservation of these magnificent creatures. They are a testament to the natural world we so often take granted, and a challenge to our passivity in the face of their destruction."

I would love to go and see this new exhibition at Fotografiska by the famous photographer Brandt. The photography of the big elephant is spectacular and I'm fascinated how he managed to get so close to the different animals and truly capture them in that special moment. I'm definitely seeing it soon!

”I believe that being close to the animals makes a huge difference in the photographer’s ability to reveal its personality. You wouldn’t take a portrait of a human being from a hundred feet away and expect to capture their soul; you’d move in close,” muses Brandt."

Sunny Thursday.

Mood: Nothing but smiles thanks to a good nights sleep & wonderful dreamsDone: Just finished breakfast, read a few blogs & answered a few e-mails
Plans: Day off today, power walk later & organize a few things at home
Looking at: The beautiful day outside, perfect autumn weather!
Listening to: Kapten Röd - Saknade Vänner
Reading: Nothing at the moment
Drinking: I need to drink more water in order to avoid head aches
Eating: Breakfast (check), an apple and pasta bolognese for lunch
Best: Girl night with K! I think we're heading to the cinema in the evening
Worst: Let's not focus on negative thoughts today
Weather: Sunshine & cool temperatures, lovely me like! :)

28.

Picture: We heart it

Someone Loves Shoes.

Picture: We heart it

Ha! And I who thought I had one too many pairs of shoes.. ;) Guess its normal then, apparently I'm not the only one who loves shoes.. Seriously, it looks like both of my two wardrobes put together! Still looks a bit boring to have so many similar shoes but in different colours? Or maybe it's a good thing? I don't know :)

Tonight's Most Played Song.

Follow Me - Uncle Kracker

"You don't know how you met me
You don't know why, you cant turn around and say good-bye
All you know is when im with you I make you free
And swim through your veins like a fish in the sea
I'm singing....

Follow me
Everything is alright
I'll be the one to tuck you in at night
And if you want to leave
I can guarantee
You won't find nobody else like me

And I worry 'bout the ring you wear
Cause as long as no one knows
That nobody can care
Your fellin guilty
And I'm well aware
But you don't look ashamed
And baby I'm not scared
Im singin...

Follow me
Everything is alright
I'll be the one to tuck you in at night
And if you want to leave
I can guarantee
You won't find nobody else like me..."

Soft Sunday.

Picture: We heart it

We had such a beautiful autumn day today with nothing but a cool breeze and a clear blue sky. Still it started raining for about one hour ago and right now I'm all wrapped up in a warm blanket listening to the raindrops and Keith Urban's "Raining on a Sunday". So I ask myself could it get any better than this? :)

Friday 7 October 2011

Happy Friday.

Good morning rockstars! I trust you all slept well? I just came home from an early work out at the gym - 6:30 AM. It felt so strange to get up so early and to see it was still pitch black outdoors! But don't you feel good afterwards? I love that feeling of being so tired physically yet so full of energy!

Anyway it's a beautiful day, the sun is shining yet it is very windy here. According to the weather cast this morning it's going to stay this way all weekend.

I'm working both Saturday & Sunday this weekend so I'm looking forward to have a soft evening. No plans have been made so far but I'm sure something will pop up ;) Do you have any fun plans for this evening? I better get going, may you all have a Happy Friday! Later skaters!

Piece of Advice.

Kolmården.

Picture: Collage made by me - pictures private, taken by me with my iPhone

A picked me up in town by 9 AM last Saturday and after that we were off on our little road trip to Kolmården. It took us about two hours drive (with one stop on the road) to get there so it was a lot closer than what I had expected.

While driving on the small country roads we saw all the beautiful trees and how they've changed colours, it was so beautiful! Sweden's nature is one of a kind - that's for sure :)

Anyway, when we finally arrived we checked in at the hotel. What a spectacular view they had up front! Apparently this was the last weekend that the Wildlife Park was open before closing for the winter season and they will open again in May. And yes there were families, children & babies almost everywhere and at one second I thought we were the only couple among the 700 guests that had checked in for the weekend but I was glad when I saw that it wasn't the case ;).

The actual park was huge! We started off by going on the Safari tour. A Wildlife gondola that gave us the opportunity to really get closer to all the different animals from so many countries all over the world. We saw bears, lions, lamas, goats, giraffes, zebras and so much more. This ride has become one of the parks biggest investments and it opened up earlier 2o11.

Afterwards we walked around the park and saw Siberian tigers at the Tiger World, dolphins perform at the Marine World, ate a delicious taco plate in the warm sun - truly it was a spectacular day with nothing but sunshine and high temperatures = a perfect day to spend outdoors :) They had over 750 wild attractions and believe me when I say that I was really tired in my poor feet by the end of the day (so glad I wore my converse!).

By the end of the day we had a great dinner and we fell a sleep completely exhausted by all the new impressions we had gathered during the day. Sunday morning we enjoyed a large breakfast buffet before checking out and leaving Kolmården to continue our trip to visit A's family. All in all I can say that is was a wonderful weekend, thank you A for everything, this was the best weekend in a long time and I had so much fun! Already looking forward the next one..! ;)

Tired Thursday.

Mood: Nothing but smiles that I carry on my face & deep within
Done: I just finished reading a few blogs and having a second breakfast :)
Plans: Day off today so I have to take care of some laundry & relax
Looking at: My laptop's screen + the raindrops falling down outside my window
Listening to: Alison Krauss - Baby Mine
Reading: Nothing at the moment
Drinking: A glass of cold water (always with ice)
Eating: Weird I felt so hungry today so I just finished my second breakfast!
Best: Last night ♥ My stomach is filled with struggling butterflies
Worst: My aches from this week's training sessions with M.. ouch!
Weather: Cuddle-up-in-door kind of weather: cold & rainy, love it!

New Month. New Adventures.

Picture: Private - taken by me with my iPhone

Monday morning and I'm home again after an amazing weekend with A at Kolmården, Scandinavia's largest Wildlife Park. We had so much fun watching all the different animals not to mention the spectacular shows they had with both dolphins and seals.

I'm going to make one big collage to post here later this week, I've got a feeling that it's going to be more than one though since we took lots of pictures ;) This one above is taken outside the Tiger World where we saw two beautiful Siberian tigers. It was fascinating how close we were able to enjoy all the spectacular animals. It was a very cool experience!

With this said I want to Welcome October and all the new great adventures!
