I ♥ iPhone 4.

Picture: Private - Taken with my iPhone 3G

Finally it's here! Thanks to my brother E & his friend F who works at Telia I've finally been able to get a hold of the new fantastic iPhone 4! "Once you go Mac, you never go back.." ;)

Hot Coco.

This morning I left the house around 7 AM (too early if you ask me..), yes it was still dark and absolutely freezing. When I jumped on my bike I saw signs of frost on the reed and trees around me. My nose tip turned red and so did my ears by the time I reached the school.

All I wished for then was a big cup of hot coco and I haven't been able to let the thought escape my mind. Therefore the first thing I made this afternoon when I got home was to heat up some milk and mix the perfect cup of coco. Every time I drink it I get these Christmas vibes.. I honestly love that feeling! :)

Black Beauty.

Picture: Pricerunner

These last few weeks I've been dreaming not only about Apple's new iPhone (4) but also this black little beauty from Canon, a Canon PowerShot G12. I'm afraid I won't be able to receive my new phone before my trip to NY due to a very long waiting list instead I figured I still need to have a better camera to take amazing photos while I'm in the big Apple!

I've only heard good things about Canon's cameras and the one above is no exception. On the contrary, it's one of the latest models where as the PowerShot G serie have had two former cameras where both of them have received excellent reviews in the magazines and by other photographers.

This is therefore the third generation and I must say that I'm very tempted.. I have a very old digital camera in a box somewhere in my room but I know that it is out of function. Besides, it would be fun to learn how to take good photographs with a real premium compact camera. Still, I'm thinking that I might be able to get it at a better price in NY? Hmm, I wonder..

Let there be Light.

Picture: Collage made by me, from the top left corner (1) Therez Garderob (Translation - Therez' Wardrobe), (2) Carlsson Interior, (3) Victoria Törnegren's blog, (4) Engla's Showroom

For years I've been searching for the perfect silver candelabra to have in my room/future apartment (when I'll be living on my own). Above are a few examples of what I had in mind, where nr 2 (seen from the top) can be bought online through Carlsson's Interior (see link above).

I'm only afraid that I don't have that much room for one at the moment. One probably needs more space due to it's hight and wide arms. Honestly, isn't it beautiful? How cosy to have one of these standing in a corner, glowing in the darkest night of autumn. I know someone who would truly love it! ;)

Feeling Feverish.

After yet another long day where I spent most of the afternoon outdoors I came home feeling very warm, almost a bit feverish. Perhaps it's just the sun that has coloured my cheeks and made them red like a pair of tomatoes. It happens quite often since I've got so sensitive and white skin. One must not underestimate the sun for in some cases one can still get burned during autumn/winter season too.

Therefore I haven't made any particular plans for tonight other than to stay in. and rest. I would probably fall asleep if I went to bed now but I'm afraid that I won't be able to sleep properly later tonight so I'm struggling to try to keep my eyes open. Please let this not be the start of yet another cold.. I don't want to and can't afford to get sick again. Perhaps a cup of tea with a few slices of ginger might help? I'll be right back.

Classy, Chic, Comfortable.

Picture: Collage made by me, pictures from Mogis (Click for a larger view!)

I remember reading Malin's blog (Mogis) a few years ago when she was new in the "blog world". The way she mixes her classy, chic, comfortable outfits has made her very popular over the years. Believe it or not she's only 21 years old (!) as she works with numerous of different projects all linked to her blog.

I read that she recently went to Paris and that she also will pay NY a visit this fall. Now that I have seen all her colourful outfits I feel like adding more colours to my wardrobe which honestly mainly consists of dark colours. Don't get me wrong, I love black and always will but it would be nice to squeeze in some accent colours as well.

Autumn and all, I still believe one can carry silk blouses and colourful prints together with jeans and tights. So far I've found a few beautiful things I'm ready to add to my closet. Hopefully I'll be able to show them to you in a collage by tomorrow because I need to get some sleep. Dream with the angels

Marvelous Monday.

Monday and yet another new week has begun, in fact this week we shall enter the month of October (!), amazing, time really does fly.. Anyway I hope you all had a great start of the week, I feel so lucky to have had such a Marvelous Monday.

It was very cold this morning, only 12 °C and windy so I was happy to put on my duffel before leaving the house. I stayed warm all day :) We're expecting the same weather every day of this week but with more sunshine with start of tomorrow! In other words, we'll be having lovely autumn weather. Good times.

I've also planned to put together a small collage tonight with a few new favourites I've found through the internet. I might just be able to get a hold of one of the items before the big trip to NY. We'll see about that.

Miley Cyrus - When I Look at You.

I just finished watching "The Last Song" featuring Miley Cyrus and I must admit I liked it. Perhaps because the piano played songs took my breath away not to mention the beautiful settings where the movie takes place, near the ocean.

I've listened to her song, "When I look at You" many times on the radio but it wasn't until after seeing her movie that I realized how talented this young girl really is. Please take a few minutes and listen to this amazing song.

My Sunday.

Mood: Relaxed & Well rested
Done: Enjoyed a long breakfast and checked my e-mail
Plans: Continue organizing my room & study, study, study
Looking at: The grey cloud bank outside my window
Listening to: Through Your Eyes - Nine Kenert
Reading: Nothing yet but I will have to "dig in" last week's notes soon
Drinking:
Cool water
Eating: I just finished my long breakfast, lunch up later
Worst: The infection in my right eye is bothering me so much :(
Weather: I was hoping for some sunshine but all I see is grey clouds

This Christmas.

I'm longing for new Christmas adornments to put up outside/inside my family's house this year. Last year I saw a beautiful Christmas tree in the middle of Stockholm that was decorated with similar lights such as the ones seen on the video above.

The so called "LED Ice Lights" have become very popular and I believe that they will be seen in a wide range of malls in Stockholm when the Christmas decorations begins. I absolutely love these lights and a very important mission of mine is to look for these beautiful lights when I visit NY.

Meanwhile, take a look at the wonderful clip and allow yourself to get carried away. This year's Christmas will be the best!

So many things to do.. Yet so little time.

After a long and very much needed nine hours of sleep I woke up to the little sunbeams that were struggling to get through the blinds in my bedroom window this morning. Talking about a wonderful way to start the new day!

These two last weeks have been crazy where I've been busy from 8 AM until 8 PM, due to my practice in school and work in the afternoons. Luckily the next two upcoming weeks I'll only have to focus on my practice and work Saturday + Sunday.

Anyway I've spent most of the day cleaning and helping out at home, went grocery shopping with my dad and picked up my two coats at the dry cleaning. Amazing, they looked as if they were brand new. I'm so looking forward to start using my pink duffel this season too!

I also realized that I need to make a new structure and create order in my now quite "messy" room. Time to get rid off old magazines, news papers and other piles that just seem have grown a lot lately. By the way, I just realized that within one month and on this exact date I'll be in NY! I think that the list of New York attractions that I've made is in need for some polishing.

It seems as if tonight's schedule is full already.. But I actually made the decision to surprise my family by renting three movies to watch over the weekend. "Julie & Julia", "The Last Song" & "Public Enemies" starring Johnny Depp (click on the titles of the movies to see the trailer!).

So many things to do.. Yet so little time, but I'll do my best to squeeze it in ;) May you all have a wonderful evening with whatever plans you've made!

Cosy for Cool Days.

Picture: Chique

I could not be happier for my new jacket that arrived today! It's named "Nicole" and designed by a Swedish brand called "Jofama". The black leather is very soft while the cosy fake fur inside will warm me during cool days.

Another positive thing was the extremely fast delivery! I ordered it on Sunday and it arrived midday today! It has been sold out for several weeks but there seem to be a few left at Chique, check it out if you are interested :)

Pearls to Remember.

In the serene silence, the soul longs for the golden pearls of dawn. Uncertain & still searching for the friendship, passion and the feeling of worshipping someone dear who would never leave you all alone.

No matter the time & place, I still think of the eclipse I always see in your eye. No matter the number of planets and the endless depth of space, in your presence I feel like the brightest star, a peaceful place where our friendship always will shine.

Sunday 19 September 2010

Swedish General Election, 2010.

The general election to the Riksdag, municipal assemblies and county council assemblies will be held today, Sunday on the 19th of September. My parents and I went voting yesterday and I request that all citizens of Sweden should do the same. Make a difference for the environment and for the future of our time.

I will stay up waiting for the election results later tonight. Will you do the same?

Busy Baking.

I was luckily free all weekend which I've spent with my family & friends. Here comes a small summary of the wonderful weekend.

Friday a bunch of girls and I headed out in the evening and danced all night. We had so much fun! Yesterday I woke up with a pair of feet that felt numb and my entire body was in pain after an intensive week. After some grocery shopping with my parents I arranged a "mini-spa" which was very much needed. The evening ended early where I failed in finish watching "Notting Hill" with my mother so I went to bed and slept like an angel.

Today I've spent most of the day baking & cooking with my father. I've always had this dream to become a really good "housewife" with excellent skills in the kitchen. One of many reasons for why I admire my mother and father so much, both of them would make great chefs!

Together we made home made hamburgers, one of my favourite chicken recipes (I'll see if I can write it down later), another favourite dish of mine green cabbage soup which we had for lunch and for dessert a delicious apple pie made out of apples from our garden. One could say that my cooking skills might have improved a bit today. At least I hope so :)

My Favourite.

Picture: DeviantArt

My favourite leaf, the Canadian Maple Leaf. So are You.

After Rain comes Sunshine.

Despite the fact that I overslept this morning and had to stress all the way to the new school to find that I was 15 min late on my very first day at the new practice, I was welcomed this morning by twenty-four new angelic and smiling faces.

Besides, it rained all day today and somehow I managed to ignore my cold and wet converse because of the cosy weather we all felt while we were indoors. This was however my last reminder to myself of getting a new pair of Wellington boots. With that said I went to town in the afternoon and bought my first pair of black boots signed Hunter.

I just watched the weather cast for tomorrow and sadly we're not expecting more rain but perhaps on Wednesday. You see, I'm longing to inaugurate my new boots knowing that I won't need to worry about cold and wet feet. With this said, no matter the troublesome morning I had one must not forget, "after rain comes sunshine".. ;)

Autumn Leaves.

Picture: Kyssjohanna

The perfect autumn leaves for an autumn lover ♥ I love these, "Maple leaf rhinestone earrings" from the designer Erica Weiner. Maybe this Christmas.. ;)

Such a long Sunday.

The weekend is going towards its end and I could not be happier since today was such a long Sunday. Super busy at work and I even managed to fall asleep on the train on my way home, due to exhaustion.

Anyway tomorrow is a new day and a new week where I will begin another new period of four weeks practice at a a school nearby. I will spend my days teaching and learning from children attending the junior level (around seven years old), which I'm sure will be lots of fun!

I very much appreciate the fact that my classmates and I are given the opportunity of having both theory and practice with the courses I'm studying at the moment. It gives us the chance to apply the theories learned in school in real life and to learn from more experienced educationalists.

Wednesday 8 September 2010

September Rain.

Some things will never be the same. Somehow I got lost within myself while loving you, therefore I am the one to blame. I feel so ashamed for participating in this silly game.

Some things will never be the same. Somehow I cannot help the feeling of having one thousand needles sting inside my chest every time I hear someone use your name. I wish I could get rid off this powerful pain.

Some things will never be the same. Somehow I was never allowed your heart to claim. I find myself sometimes staring at your empty crystal frame.

Some things will never be the same. Somehow I feel glad for all the memories you created and made me gain. A part of me will always wait for you under the September rain.

iPhone 4.

Picture: Collage made by me

I've been waiting since the 30th of July and now it will soon be mine! I'm talking about Apple's latest star, iPhone 4. Watch the new video featuring all the new apps and features. This is my confession: Yes I'm a technical freak.. ;)

Tuesday 7 September 2010

Terrific Tuesday.

I had such a fun afternoon with my beloved E in town today ♥ She showed me her school's new classrooms and we managed to catch an early movie, "I rymden finns inga känslor", a Swedish comedy which we both loved.

Unfortunately I've never been such a big fan of Swedish production when it comes to films but this one was unique and beautiful in its own way. Cool to see that yet another brother of the "Skarsgård clan" has had his break through here in Sweden. They are all so talented, not to mention good looking ;)

Sunday 5 September 2010

Alicia Keys - New York.

I can't tell you how much I long to NY ♥ I'll be there soon, walking on the streets of the city that never sleeps. I'm sure it will be the best trip of the year!

Blue Bows.

It's been a long day and I'm finally all tucked in and ready to fall asleep. Sweet dreams to you all, I shall now close my eyes and dream of these cute blue bows :)

10, 9, 6, 3, 2, 1

Colour: Black or Brown. The latest I love in every kinds of shade from dark chocolate brown to café au lait.
Food: Crispy chicken (works every time and the variation of the dish is endless), summer time avocado with toast skagen (consists mainly of fresh shrimps and mayonnaise and Swedish spices).
Band(s): To be honest I have far too many favourite bands and I find it difficult to only choose one. Therefore I stick with the Swedish saying, "ingen nämnd, ingen glömd" which mean "no one mentioned and no one forgotten". Film: "Home Alone 2: Lost in New York", "You've got Mail", "The Notebook", "Gladiator", "Inception"

Book: I'm reading "Breaking Dawn" by Stephenie Meyer and dreading the day the book ends.
Sport: Running! In the past I've also tried tennis and horse back riding where the last was a favourite sport of mine. Unfortunately I haven't been near a horse after my accident. I really do miss it sometimes.
Season: I've always been an autumn/winter gal, but autumn is definitely my favourite season.
Weekday: Friday
Ice cream Flavour: Butter pecan or melon. If the flavours are not available I always go for French Vanilla. Never chocolate.
Time of day: Sunday morning.

9 FOR NOWS
Mood: Elated.
Taste: Refreshing mint from my Colgate toothpaste.
Clothes: I'm still in my favourite pj's from J. Crew, the softest tank top from American eagle, dark blue "IB sweater" plus bare feet and hair gathered in a low ponytail.
Background: (I'm interpreting this as computer background) I don't know the name of the statue nor the photographer but I found it at we heart it and it's called "The shaded forests". A true angelic statue.
Time: 10:14
Surrounding: In my bedroom, morning sun, approximately too many thick clouds outdoor while listening to U2's "With or Without You" on Spotify.
Nail Polish: None but I've planned on doing a classic French manicure during the weekend. After almost four weeks with my golden minx nails I want to have something simple and that goes with my brown/black/white outfits.

Annoyance: These last couple of days we've had beautiful autumn weather with sunshine and modest temperatures but today it's just grey outdoors, windy and probably cold too. Warmer coat today? I believe so.

6 HAVE YOU EVERS
Dated one of your close friends: Yes
Broken the law: Yes
Been arrested: No
Skinny dipped: Yes in my younger years when I was a little girl, not in my teens though, at least not that I can recall.
Been on TV: Twice, first time was when I was about eleven or twelve years old and I sang with a small group of classmates (this was when I attended middle school with a musical alignment) in one of the leading morning shows in Swedish television. Second when I attended the Swedish "Idol" song contest in the year of 2004. I was videotaped but luckily they didn't show it on national TV. I'd been to embarrassed.. Kissed a stranger: Yes previously when we've been out clubbing/dancing but I haven't done it in a long time.

3 PEOPLE
You can tell anything to: My brother Erik, my best friends Elise, Louise & Sandra
You like: So many more than three people. All my amazing colleagues at work; which I have so much fun with at work everyday, my classmates "Mr. Banks" & Mikaela and many more!
You don't like: Michaela Forni - for spreading such horrible rumours on the internet about my colleagues at Zara, Mona Sahlin the representable of the Social Democratic Party (please do not let them win in the next election in September), I do not wish to see her in the post of being our prime minister. I will settle with two persons in this category.

2 CHOICES
Coffee or tea: Tea with milk alternative an "Extra Coffee Caramel Frappucciono á la Starbucks" ;)
Spring or autumn: Always Autumn.

1 WISH:
A sunny autumn for my vacation in NY and an intense but short winter in Sweden. Mid November to February would be great with lots of snow! Last year's winter was a bit too long, still I might actually been the only one who enjoyed the cold and white landscapes.. :)

List brutally stolen from My Wineglass
