Summer Literature.

Picture: Rubia

I must admit that I am a bit late on this issue to finally buy myself a copy of "Elsas mode" (translation: "Elsa's fashion") one of the most popular fashion novels published this year by the famous fashion journalist & writer Sofi Fahrman. I've only heard good things about the novel so I'm really looking forward tonight's reading. Sweet dreams!

Arrived at Last.

Finally, my very much longed weekend bag has arrived (as I mentioned in this previous post). The perfect worn out and darkened honey coloured leather handles along with the perfect size did not disappoint me, on the contrary I could not be more happy about it!

I've also made a few check ups just to make sure that this time I really managed to buy myself a real one and not a fake. Unfortunately there are too many fake bags for sale and stopping this illegal production has been one of the main goals of the leading design companies such as Luis Vuitton, Mulberry etc.

Normally these fake bags have all been made under cruel working hours and by child labour. For it is a big and difficult problem to solve but all I can do is to strongly advice you to think twice before you decide to buy that cheap little handbag on a beach in Thailand for example.

I see my bag as an investment for future trips and not to mention an art treasure to leave as an inheritance for my future children / grandchildren. The older they get the more valuable they get. Something worth thinking about.

Best Barbecue.

I can't believe the weekend is almost over! Still, I've had so much fun and you know what they say, "time flies while you're having fun" ;) Anyway, I've spent today's afternoon with D, E, L & O since we were supposed to celebrate my dearest L on her 22nd birthday which happens to be tomorrow..!

Therefore we arranged a small barbecue with grilled chicken, a fresh potato salad and a delicious summer cake (!) made by E & me. I really got to run off the entire weekend's calories next week with start: tomorrow! Which reminds me, I've got a long day at work tomorrow and I really should try to get some sleep.

Anyway hope you guys also had a great weekend! Sweet dreams.

Broken Bones.

Sweet dreams.

All night Long.

With Melissa Horn singing inside my ears I try to capture the very last sunbeams on the soft peach coloured sky. Sweet flower scents from the darling dog roses and playful poppies in our garden brings me back in time and gives my soul wings to fly.

With nothing but bare feet I let my toes find their way through the cool evening dew on top of the green grass. Amazing feeling and for a moment hard to believe that this season too shall pass.

Swedish Summer.

Pictures: Private - Collage made by me (Click to enlarge!)

Glad Midsommar/Happy Midsummer dear readers! May the sun shine on you and your beloved ones today I loved the delicious strawberry cake (as seen on the pictures above) my mother and I made on this special day. It was a success!

I hope all Swedes were able to get a hold of a bucket of Strawberries too..! A tradition and a must-have to experience a real Swedish Summer. Luckily this year we had plenty of luck with the weather which does not happen very often.

Inspired by You.

I find myself wandering away in the endless of thoughts, thinking of the different paths you have led me into while releasing an engaging energy. A desire to inspire creating nothing but true felicity.

I find myself smiling while thinking of our conversation the last time you called, charming, honesty and impulsive seems to be three of your greater qualities. Unfortunately there are not many men with such positive personalities.

I find myself admiring your work and every sentences that has been put together by you, texts that illustrate genuine curiosity, creativity, empathy and an excellent way with words. Maybe I'm amazed of the fact that I've been inspired by You, to pursue my dreams while listening to my soul's songbirds.

Sleeping with the Stars.

Picture: GANT

Do you remember me mentioning something about a bed set that I got for my last birthday in January? I managed to get a picture of it as seen above, it's not my bed though and I do not have that many pillows, I have four pillows ;)

Anyway I just wanted to say how much I love these sheets and I'm planning on adding a blanket in a similar style. Still, I think it won't have any stars on it - don't want it to be too much. Something white or red perhaps?

Summer Sunshine.

I feel lucky to have had two free days in a row! Besides, all we've had today is nothing but sunshine which is why I've stayed outdoors most of the day letting the sun kiss my skin. After a very much needed cool shower I noticed that I've gotten more freckles today beneath my eyes and on the top of my nose. I'm lovin' it :)

I've continue my reading of the fourth and last novel from the "Twilight Saga" called "Breaking Dawn". No matter how hard I've tried to postpone reading it I can't hold it any longer. I don't want the beautiful story to end but now I believe that my curiosity has taken over my hands.

Before I forget to tell you, the third movie "Eclipse" will have its premier within one week, next Tuesday on the 29th of June to be exact. Luckily my friend E was able to buy us tickets so we're a group of girls that will be going together. I'm sure we'll have lots of fun! Sorry, time for dinner! I'll try to write more later.

Lots of Love.

I've always been a big fan of weddings. Forever love united in harmony. I feel lucky to have attended three weddings already and I hope there will be more to come. The latest wedding I attended took place in Miami when my cousin C and her husband J got married. Truly it felt like a fairytale.

Talking about magic weddings I must mention the latest big wedding known worldwide (!) between our Crown Princess Victoria Bernadotte and her husband Daniel Westling. Above are a few amazing photos of these two handsome couples. May your lives be filled with lots of love ♥.

Wonderful Weekend.

Wow, I can't believe the weekend is almost over. I've been so busy working and celebrating both my friend V's birthday and the fact that our princess Victoria Bernadotte finally got her beloved husband Daniel Westling. The entire city bloomed yesterday and there were parties all over Stockholm. It was an amazing night.

Work has gone great! A lot of new information to take in of course but hopefully I'll get used to all the new routines very soon. The new colleagues seem so lovely! I'm positive we'll make a new great team and I'm thankful for all their help they've given me on my first two days at Zara. It's all been a warm very welcoming start. I'm lovin' it!

Anyway I'm exhausted and honestly need to get some sleep. I hope you all had a terrific weekend as well! Sweet dreams my angels. ♥ Liv

Movie night.

I'm heading out towards town to watch the new movie called "Dear John" with my favourite L ♥. Girl's night! Tomorrow is my first day at Zara, I'm a bit nervous but I'll do my very best. As long as I get enough sleep tonight.. Ciao!

Sailing Stones | Part I.

As if breathing in your presence isn't hard enough, now you expect me to talk to you? she muttered inside her head. Though he could not hear her deepest thoughts he could still read her troubled facial expression. He smiled a crooked smile and let his fingers fumble through his messy blonde hair.

Spotted together last Autumn walking side by side in the relaxing rain. Nothing to disturb the circle of harmony and wellness that surrounded them. Long walks in the forgotten garden where magic had left its traces in the roots of the old oak trees. Sleeping secrets waiting to awake and reveal the unknown story of the sailing stones ...

Active Afternoon.

After a long afternoon in town with the girls (C, L, V) I'm completely exhausted. Not only did we walk while shopping for a few hours but later L & I went to the gym and had an intensive work out! I managed to buy a good black pair of shoes to work in, I've realized that one needs better shoes than converse while standing up for about eight hours per day. Otherwise my poor feet will kill me..

Anyway I saw that many online shops are now full with autumn/winter items. Gorgeous things and I'm planning on making a collage a bit later of a fall look I'd love to wear. As I mentioned in a previous post I'm almost sick and tired of summer now or at least the spring/summer collection in most stores. Time for a shower and I'll probably fall asleep early tonight. Sweet dreams.

New challanges awaits at Zara.

Picture: BusinessWeek

The job interview for which I attended yesterday was at the headquarters of Zara in Stockholm. I'd prepared myself all Sunday and got a few last tips from my father while we were on the road towards town. The interview went well and they said that they would contact me later this week.

Although I did not know then that one of the managers from one of the stores would call me later the same afternoon! I came home received the call and went back to town again. It's official now, I'm starting working on Saturday this week and will have a full-time job entire July. Yay!

Therefore yesterday I went out celebrating with R at my favourite hotel in Stockholm, The Rival Hotel. From Saturday on you are more than welcome to come and visit me at Zara, Drottninggatan 68, Stockholm. I'm looking forward to the new challenges that awaits at Zara.

Sleepy Sunday.

Picture: House of Philia

Rise & Shine! Oh my, I overslept this morning.. My plan was to get up early but I guess that didn't happen since I woke up for about one hour ago. Talking about a Sleepy Sunday *yawn*. No worries though, I've decided to take it easy today and prepare myself for a big job interview I'm attending tomorrow afternoon.

I'm so excited about it!! This is something that I've wanted for a very long time.. Probably one of the reasons for why I decided to work with fashion and women's clothing from the first place and it's been a dream to end up working within this famous and fast growing home of fashion.

No more revealing now, not until afterwards. Please cross your fingers for me! You'll probably hear more about it later. Anyway time for an awakening shower! Have a great Sunday!

Annoying Ache.

Hey! Hope you've had a good day sofar. It's been a very busy day at work and I must say that I was completely exhausted when I came home. Apparently I wasn't the only one who had a rough day.. My brother E was also tired so he & I cuddled up in my bed and almost fell asleep for one minute or two.

Unfortunately an old sports injury has turned up again and today it reminded me in the lower part of my back. The reason for why I had to cancel tonight's plans with R, sorry. Anyway I'm aiming to get some sleep and hopefully I'll get rid of this annoying ache before morning. Perhaps a warm shower can sheer me up. Later!

Girl's Weekend.

Thank you girls for an amazing weekend! ♥ I've had so much fun! Sorry for the bad updates but I've been busy almost everyday this week. Windsurfing, working, spending time with family & friends has filled up my calendar and left no time to blog. Above are two pictures that were taken during the weekend.

After a fun barbecue/birthday party in town L & I met up with S & Z and went dancing all night long. Today I've spent about 4 hours power walking with R. It felt really good to have such a long exercise, although I must admit that I feel completely exhausted now and I'm looking forward to a good night's sleep.

Once you go Mac, you never go back.

Picture: DeviantArt

I'm still very curious about this whole "mac world" that people seem to be so abscessed about. I love my iPhone and the iPod I used before I got the phone. My current laptop is a Sony vaio which I've no problem running still there is something very attractive about the competitive company and the elegant design that makes it difficult not to look.

My guess is that I need to read more about it and then later decide whether if it's worth changing computer or not. If I should do so I've realized that they are a lot cheaper to buy in the states than they are here in Sweden. Perhaps I should take a closer look at one while visiting NY later this fall? I'm definitely considering it.

Surf's Up.

Summer is officially here! Tomorrow we're expecting nothing but sun and about 25°C, lovely! Luckily I'm free from work tomorrow still I have some errands that needs to be done in the morning but I'm planning on spending the entire afternoon outdoors.

It's been a while since I went windsurfing but somehow my brother convinced me to join him tomorrow. The sport is really cool and I love the fact that it's a water sport. We'll see how it goes maybe I can make him take some photos when I'm on board ;) I'll give you an update later.

Beautiful Blake.

Picture: We heart it
Blake Lively, known as Serena van der Woodsen fromthe TV-serie "Gossip Girl" looking absolutely amazing on the pictures above. I love the outstanding blue shade of the dress and the gorgeous details on the one shoulder strap. I wonder which famous designer made this creative piece of art?

Note to myself: Do not buy another LBD, I have far too many that are just hanging in the closet. Besides I'm tired of being dressed as if I'm going to a funeral.. I need to buy a blue one like Blake Lively's instead! This colour rocks!
