Powder Pink.

Today's inspiration board consists of items in powder colours such as beige and pink. I've had a "mini-spa" at home tonight. Lovely way to spend a Monday evening. I had a crazy (!) and long weekend.

Few hours of sleep and too many hours of mingle and dancing made me look like a zombie today. Luckily I begin work at 3 PM tomorrow (afternoon shift). Anyway my eyes will probably pop out if I don't stop writing now :) Sweet dreams!

Lucky Liv managed to get a hold of one of the most popular pieces from H&M's "Garden Collection" S/S 2010. Joy. It should probably arrive sometime by the beginning of next week. I really hope it fits...

I realized that there are too many "LDB" (Little Black Dresses) in my wardrobe which is why I decided to find something with more colour. I'm thinking a tanned body, this red little piece of art and my nude pumps from Topshop. Smashing, I like.

To my Brothers.

I sat on my favourite spot surrounded by my favourite white porch. I remember that sunny afternoon, I was left amazed of how the horizon could have become such a warm fire of colours as seen in an evening torch. Suddenly a cool spring breeze blew through my bright hair and left me with caution. Like the fearless female that I am, I focused my eyes towards the endless ocean and it filled me with a safe emotion.

Home is where our story begins. I can still hear the music that we created together in my ears, drums, guitars and even one or two violins. The bonds that we share I hope shall always remain the same. Keeping this trio together is important for our future, therefore it has become such an important aim.

Soft Sunday Evening.

After an intensive workout at the gym this afternoon my body feels completely exhausted. Still I'm glad that I have been able to keep up with my goal with working out three times per week. With the exception of tonight I have more energy running through my veins now that I've started this programme. It feels so good! Enough said about this, you might fall asleep ;)

Anyway I'm thinking about tucking myself in and read something before I call it the night. Sweet dreams & enjoy the remaining time of this Soft Sunday Evening.

Rise & shine! I hope you slept well. It felt good to wake up to the warm sunbeams that were struggling to get through my Venetian blinds this morning. I must admit I'm amazed how this beautiful orchid has managed to recover itself from the long winter and set so many big flowers to bloom. I bought it by the end of last summer at a local flower market in town for a low price and it turned out to be a great plant with so many flowers. In other words I made a good bargain ;)

Anyway I'm free from work today and I have no special plans for the day which actually feels nice. "Carpe Diem" - I will size & enjoy the day. Whatever plan that might show up I will welcome it with a warm embrace. Have a happy day everyone!

Work.

I'm surprised that I woke up this morning with so little aches in my body due to yesterday's intensive workout. Perhaps it's because I did stretch out my muscles properly this time. Anyway I'm heading towards work soon, luckily a short shift today (12-16 PM).

I have no plans for the afternoon although I must say due to the dull and windy weather outdoors I won't head out for a walk unless I dress myself in a warm jacket ;) We'll see. Have a great day everyone!

Dreams do come true.

After many years of waiting, a long time wish has finally come true. Autumn of 2010 I shall visit "The City that Never Sleeps", also known as New York.

Broadway musicals, Central Park, Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty, The Museum of Modern Art, The New York Public Library along with many other adventurous places shall be explored. Finally, NY here I come ♥

There is no place I'd rather be. Next to you, sitting next to me. With an uneven pulse and with struggling butterflies in my veins I tightened my grip of your hand. For one moment my legs went numb, luckily I did not have to stand.

The way you smiled every time I decided to hide behind your shoulder made my cheeks turn red. I realized that they still had the same colour as I turned off the lights and went to bed. I closed my eyes and felt how the smell of your skin lingered on me. There were no other place I'd rather been. Next to you, sitting next to me.

Rise & shine, it's Thursday today! For me it means it's finally weekend since I'm free tomorrow. Right now I'm on my way in to town. I have a few errands to run before work, someone's birthday is coming up.. ;) That's all I can say for now. I wish you all a great day!

Spring in NY.

I long so much for the beautiful cherry blossom trees to bloom here in Stockholm, it should be any week soon or at least by the end of April. That is if the sun keeps to shine like it has today.

Anyway I was reminded of them when I saw the picture above of Sofi enjoying the real first signs of Spring in NY. The fact that she is running around in a t-shirt (!) makes me feel just a little bit jealous..

Despite of the bad start I had today's morning with a terrible headache it turned out to be a great day after all. Luckily I managed to keep myself busy at work even though the mall was empty due to the terrific weather outdoors. I had something to look forward to after work.

After I had finished closing the store I met up with M for a walk in my neighbourhood. We realized that it got dark very fast but continued talking and walking, probably due to the good time we both had in each others company. It seems as if I'll fall asleep with a great smile yet again tonight. Thanks M, you made my evening.

Tired Tuesday.

I'm confused, I fell asleep with a great smile on my lips last night and still I woke up with a headache this morning. Hopefully a pain killer will obliterate it. For some reason I did not sleep well. I guess it will be a Tired Tuesday.

Unfortunately my stomach was growling early this morning which forced me to get out of bed. I should probably tuck myself into bed again. I wish you all a Terrific Tuesday.

Today after the lunch finally the sun showed up! I had some work to do but as soon as I got free I went for a walk in town and sat down in Kungsträdgården to enjoy the beautiful weather.

Anyway it made me long for the summer and during the evening I have looked at old pictures from the two last summers. Crazy adventures in Båstad and party pictures from home. I miss that perfect tan I had, I'm going to have an even better one this year ;)

Bewitched, Bothered & Bewildered.

After a long day at work I have finally cuddled up in bed, listening to the sweet tunes sung by Linda Ronstadt & typing on my laptop. Enjoying a soft Sunday evening when it's the best. I hope you had a nice weekend.

I spent Friday evening at home with my family, it felt good to have some time off from work (both Friday and Saturday). While Friday was a relaxed and soft day Saturday was a bit more busy. With a visit to the gym in the morning, coffee with M in the afternoon and barbecue with L & her corridor mates during the evening, let's just say it kept me going all day. I must admit I had lots of fun, it was definitely worth it.

Tomorrow it's Monday again. New week, new adventures & new challenges I hope to experience. Luckily I'm only working three shifts next week (Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday) meaning another fun and relaxed weekend to look forward too. Do you have any fun plans for next week?

Summer sunglasses.

For years I have been searching for the perfect sunglasses to wear during summer without finding a proper model. I remember that I had a similar black pair like the "Aviators" above many years ago but I think they broke and haven't seen them in a while.

Anyway I should try to try out a few different models before they will all be sold out - that's life living in a big city. I was also considering to buy a pair that are "Demi Brown" or "Tortoise".. Luckily the sun has not come out yet so I have a few weeks left! Let the search begin ;)

I have finally realized that the combination of black & white is classic and will never "die out". Jennie Hammar (as seen on the picture above) is one of my favourite Swedish writers and happens to be a woman with an amazing wardrobe and sense for style.

The hot leather jacket is from Topshop and I love the way she wears it with elegant yet simple black trousers and a small leather goods, which I believe is a small Chanel bag..? Inspiration when it's the best! You rock Jennie!

Try Sleeping With a Broken Heart.

It's been a long week. Thank God it's Friday tomorrow. Busy week at work and yet another ride on the emotional roller coaster. This Wednesday I hardly slept at all. I know it's not healthy but at least I'm back at the gym so I must be doing something right..

Anyway luckily I have some fun plans for the weekend, more about that later. It seems as if my body should try to get some sleep. Sweet dreams.

So, seven things about myself!

1. One could probably say that a part of me is superstitious. For example, I have never liked odd numbers such as 1,5,9,13 etc. Take a closer look at my latest posts in my blog and you shall see that most of them have been published on an even time of the day. (20:24, 22:46, 22:42)

2. I also read a daily horoscope every morning at the Swedish online fashion magazine ELLE. There are many fake/false horoscopes on the web and others that are published in magazines but this site can be listed as one of the best horoscopes (!).

3. I'm easily frightened which explains why I absolutely hate Halloween & scary movies.

4. Every autumn I get tempted to dye my hair darker and become "chocolate brown". I've been close to do it many times still I've changed my mind in the very last minute. Maybe this year I'll do it? I would truly love the change. To be continued..

5. I have an eye for small details. When it comes to colouring, writing (hand writing of course) and other creative activities I make sure to always put in my best effort in my work. Perfectionist, a bit yes.

6. I'm a big fan of fish. I love salmon, tuna, skagen salad (Scandinavian speciality) etc. It's delicious and it's healthy, I could probably eat it every day if I could without get tired of it. Proof of this statement will be in my blog later.

7. For some reason I have a small freckle on the downside tip of my left ring finger. It is for some people who notice it an unusual sight and a bit odd if I say so myself.

Work.

Good morning, I hope you all slept well. For some reason I panicked when I heard my alarm go off this morning. I thought I had overslept and was late to work, although I had two hours to get ready.. Crazy.

Anyway Sunday today, a lazy day for most people. Late breakfast/brunch and perhaps a walk outdoors. I'm heading towards work within one hour so I'm heading towards the shower now. I wish you all a sunny Sunday!

Weekend in Norrtälje.

As it turned out, I have spent two days of this Easter Holiday in Norrtälje with C and his friends. Thursday we visited one of the local bars/clubs and a fantastic night out. The pictures above were taken during that night (to the left; C & me - to the right; J & me).

Besides dancing and having a lot of fun I have somehow managed to finally get rid off my hideous cold (!). Anyway tomorrow I'll be working all day so I better try and get some sleep. Sweet dreams.
