Dreams do come true part II.

Picture: Collage made by me, pictures from According to Jennie & Style by Kling

Celebrities and fashionistas all over the world knows the significance behind the phrase "Travel with Style". Victoria Beckham is one famous example of an elegant woman who always travels by the dress code that applies to the quote above. I have always admired powerful, respected business women like her and the way they apply details of fashion on themselves.

Two famous Swedish fashionistas (which I'm positive I've mentioned in the blog before) Elin Kling and Jennie Hammar (as seen on the pictures above) both know how to travel with style. They have been captured both holding on to what I believe could be one of their favourite items in their bag collections, the weekend bag "Keepall 55" signed by Louis Vuitton.

My personal favourite detail is how this particular leather turns into golden brown after a few years of usage. A way to tell how the well made bag can last forever. Anyway I have dreamt about having such a bag in my possession for many years and have managed to buy the perfect vintage Keepall '55 Louis Vuitton through a similar auction website such as Ebay. I'm so happy!!

I'm ready to start packing for the very much longed New York trip come fall! Sometimes, dreams really do come true. Not only am I travelling to the most exciting city in the world but also I'll be travelling with a little touch of style. This is an award I'd like to give myself. Why? Because I've earned it.

When you wish upon a Star.

We all do mistakes, say stupid things we regret the minute the words has passed through your lips and go through difficult times when it's hard for any heart to smile. Sometimes the mind and soul needs to take a break and rest for a while. I understand it perfectly, please believe me, this is no lie.

You may say I'm naive for believing that nothing, no nothing could ever tear us apart. Clearly I was wrong, please listen to a lost star's last call: hope is for us to have a new & fresh start. Obviously I miss that part when you, only by being present, spread struggling butterflies in my veins and spread it to my heart.

How can I say this without sounding too cheesy? Either way the right words never come out easily. I miss you and the way you bring out what's best in me.

To all Mothers around the World.

Picture: DeviantArt (I made a collage of it due to this special day!)

To all of you women who have been blessed to become, soon shall become a mother or grandmother I would like to say Happy Mother's Day! I hope you have had a great Day with all your beloved ones.

Early this morning I went to the gym to work out with my mom. Afterwards my siblings and I celebrated our mother by letting her relax and enjoy a great movie that we all saw at the cinema. I strongly recommend the new film about "Robin Hood" starring Russell Crowe and Cate Blanchette. It was awesome!

We often forget about telling the people we care about how much we love them. Family always goes first. If you haven't told your mother or grandmother you love them today I advise you to do so. Everybody wants to be loved by someone. If no one has shown it to you today then you go ahead and start the new trend! It will very much be appreciated in the long run.

Anyway I've had a long day so I better get ready for bed. Sweet dreams!

Party like there is no tomorrow!

I love this song! They play it all the time at Swedish clubs now. I listened to it yesterday when I went out for drinks. I think I might stay home tonight, I woke up with this awful stomach ache but for those of you who are going out tonight, have a great night! Party like there is no tomorrow..

A walk in the Woods of Tyresö.

Pictures: Private - Taken with my iPhone by S

This Monday I went for a long walk with S and her two dogs, Ricky and Igor (the black tall (!) dog as seen on the pictures above). It was so peaceful and the only sound came from birds singing up in the trees and the stream of bubbling water beneath our feet when we passed the little wooden bridges. I can't remember the last time I've seen such a big dog like Igor. Still he was so calm and friendly the entire walk.

Even though it takes a lot of work to have a dog I do miss it sometimes. My friend S, said that these woods have always been her second home since she always walks the dogs in this area. I miss our last dog Falcon, a Cavalier King Charles every now and then. Truly, I believe that the dog is a man's best friend.

Tired of this Season.

I open up an almost full closet and all I find is zero inspiration. After going window shopping today I saw many new autumn/winter items standing on the bright shelves in the stores. Could it be possible that I'm already tired of all accessories and clothing from this season? To be honest, it would not surprise me not even a little bit, not even at all.

Working with clothes definitely leaves certain "hidden marks" in the mind, for example I get "bored" with the pieces in the store way to fast. Unless it's a really unique line that catches my heart and soul completely which unfortunately does not happen that often. This is all my personal opinions when it comes to dress myself. I always find inspiration when it comes to dress other people/customers. I find that to be a lot more fun!

Anyway since I've always been a big fan of the autumn/winter seasons I look forward to see this year's new looks and materials. One of my favourites is the sheep's wool collar seen on Burberry Prorsum Fall 2010 "ready-to-wear" collection.

Let's just say that there is a lot to look forward to next upcoming seasons. For those of you who are still enjoying the summer skirts and other floral patterns, go ahead! I truly envy those of you who are not dreaming about brown leather boots and cosy cashmere sweaters as we speak.

Most played song this week.

Town on a Tuesday.

I woke up this morning to the sound of heavy rain drops smashing towards my bedroom window. We've been expecting bad weather due to these last two weeks of nothing but hot almost tropical (!) weather and sunshine. Still, I must confess I love when it rains.

Anyway I'm heading towards town soon to run a few errands. It's pay-day today so I'm guessing that it will be crowded in most of Stockholm's big city malls. Time to jump into my comfortable converse! Have a great Tuesday! :)

One of the best guys in the world. I love you E, you are best bro

Worn Out.

Last night was a blast. Once again, sorry for the bad updates this week. My younger brother turned 20 last week and so we (family & friends) decided to celebrate him yesterday by throwing a big party for him. I believe we had 25 guests attending the party..

And as you can imagine the party went on late and did not end until 3 AM. Luckily it turned out to be a great success! Still I must confess I woke up feeling completely worn out this morning after cleaning up until 4 o'clock in the morning.. Don't worry E, it was worth it! ;)

I'll see if I can find some pictures from yesterday and post them here later today. One can probably find some good ones of facebook. But first, a shower. Later!

Sweet Surprise.

I have the world's greatest mother ♥ After a long and rather difficult day she surprised my siblings and I by baking these delicious strawberry pastries and served them as dessert after tonight's dinner. It's the small things made out of love that counts. I love you Mom ♥

Terrific Thursday.

Smiling in the Sun.

Picture: Private - Me, taken by my brother

I've got a feeling that this is going to be yet another great week! I spent the morning in town and the afternoon outdoors, working on my tan ;). The picture above was taken last week on my brother's birthday when we were in town enjoying the beautiful cherry blossom trees which I've written about before.

They are finally in full bloom! Anyway I happened to have the same outfit today and due to the terrific weather I've been smiling in the sun all day long. Time for bed, I've got a long day at work tomorrow. Sweet dreams.

Wonderful Week.

Sorry for the lack of posts and updates this week, it's been seven crazy days yet a wonderful week. My younger brother E turned 20, Happy Birthday love! Besides that I was invited to three parties that gave me the opportunity to dance foxtrot, listen & play on a friend's guitar, dance and sing along a little bit more while I mingled and met new amazing people.

Work combined with several (!) late nights has definitely emptied my body's batteries, luckily I'm free from work tomorrow so I'm planning to work out in the morning and have a chill afternoon. If it's good weather I might head out and work on my tan ;). Anyway I should probably get ready for bed since my body is literally screaming and longing to get some sleep. Sweet dreams!

The first Sunset.

Wise men say only fools rush in. Normally this would be, the time when you would comfort me, by lifting up my chin. Reminding me of my naive heart's battle, a battle I will never win.

Sometimes, the smallest things take up the most room in your heart. Find a dream you can follow and your soul shall never be torn apart. Here comes that feeling I thought I'd forgotten, stomach meet butterflies. Hopefully they shall give me a better start.

Soft Sunday.

After spending Friday night out it felt good to stay in yesterday evening and enjoy the sweet film called "Marley & Me" starring Jennifer Aniston and Owen Wilson. Considering the love I have always had for dogs I'm not surprised I liked it so much.

A memorable quote from the film, "A dog doesn't care if you're rich or poor, educated or illiterate, clever or dull. Give him your heart and he will give you his. "

Anyway today's plan is also to have a Soft Sunday. I'm free from work but later tonight I've been invited over to my boss's home for dinner. My two colleagues and me, I'm sure we'll have a great time. Time for a shower, have a nice Sunday!

Daily Inspiration.

For those of you who have watched the reality series called "The City" will probably recognize the female above, the new New York fashionista Olivia Palermo. She is known to be a real bitch in the show and is probably not the best role model but I must say that I would love to exchange closets with her.

During April Vogue UK let Palermo publish her daily outfits for inspiration purposes for their readers. Dressy looks are combined with jeans, converse and military green jackets. Different combinations for all occasions. I like it!

Marc by Marc Jacobs ♥ Stockholm.

Picture: Collage made by me (Pictures found at /style.com)

Finally! Another great and successful designer has decided to open a flagship store in Stockholm, this time it's Marc Jacobs. According to the Swedish fashion oracle Elin Kling his store will be open by the 1st of September this fall. I honestly can't wait to explore it.

Last year I bought one of his famous leather bracelets with the Latin words "Datumamore Ad Defendendum" (translation: Given in Love for Protection) characterized on a small piece of metal. I wear it almost every day.

Terrific Thursday.

I woke up to warm sunbeams that were struggling to get through my Venetian blinds this morning. Lovely! I'm amazed of how much joy the sun can bring during this time of the year.

All the positive energy circulating inside my system leaves a great smile upon my face. This is according to me one of the best times of the year. Anyway I just wanted to wish you all a Terrific Thursday!

Clean Up.

As boring as it sounds I have to clean up today since I've got the morning free and don't start work until late this afternoon. Boring but it needs to be done.

Vacuum-clean, change sheets, dust off shelves and other spaces. Besides that I've got a mountain of clothes to organize ... Why can I never learn to hang it back in the closet after wearing it? Anyway I wish you all a Terrific Tuesday!

The Little Red Dress.

Picture: Private -Me in my "rose dress" from "The Garden Collection" signed by H&M

It arrived at last. My beautiful rose dress that I managed to buy online. I tried it with a black leather belt and my nude pumps from Topshop that I also love.

Add a nice tan and curly hair and I'm ready to party through all the sweet summer nights! Oh, I can't wait :) I got a feeling that this summer is going to be a great summer!

Magic Monday.

Mood: Nothing but struggling butterflies in my veins
Done: Breakfast & checked my e-mails
Plans: Run errands in the morning, work out at the gym & work in the afternoon
Looking at: The blue sky and the lake that is blank like a mirror outdoors
Listening to: Regina Spektor - Samson
Reading: Nothing yet but I will grab a Metro on the subway
Drinking: Water
Eating: I just finished up breakfast, lunch up next
Best: I got a feeling that this week is going to be a great week :)
Worst: No negative thoughts at all
Weather: Nothing but sunshine, finally!

Eye candy.

Picture: Private - My dad's delicious rhubarb pie!

Isn't it mouthwatering? ;) I promise that I will try to get my hands over the recipe. This one is gluten free and can also be made lactose free. Sweet dreams!

Busy Sunday.

Talking about a busy Sunday (!) despite the excellent yet cool weather (according to the customers that visited me in the store) I had plenty to do today which made it so much fun. I sold one of my favourite summer dresses from the S/S collection to a woman who looked amazing in it.

The funny thing is that it made me want to try it one more time (I've already done it twice) and so I did it after finishing closing up. It's definitely a keeper, I'll try to take a picture when wearing it later. The main fabric goes in a deep blue marine colour and the pattern on top of it is snow white dots. It reminds me of Jackie Kennedy and the classic dresses that she wore. I love it!

Anyway time for some delicious home made rhubarb pie! Have a great day/evening depending on what time it is at your place ;)

Unbeatable trio.

Pictures: Private - Taken by L, S & me

Thank you girls, L & S for an amazing night yesterday! I had so much fun, you made my evening. Truly we are an unbeatable trio ♥

Magic May.

I apologize for the lack of posts this week. I've been a busy work and spending time with family & friends. Amazing, today is the 1st of May (!), the days of April literally ran away. I might need to get better and try to enjoy everyday as much as possible. In that way the days might not fly away.

The other day when I spent my afternoon in town I watched how my favourite Cherry blossom trees has begun to bloom. Finally, I've longed for this beautiful Month, Magic May. It feels like it's getting warmer and warmer for each day.
