El Gouna, Egypt.

My friend K and I spent one amazing week in a little town called El Gouna (about 40 min by car from Urghada). We stayed at a Swiss resort called Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts. We had the most fantastic service at the hotel and we loved our room!

Our main goal with this vacation was to relax and enjoy some fun activities. We decided to go scuba diving one day and it turned out to be one of the best adventures of the week! We spent the entire day on a big boat with a fun group of people and we even saw dolphins!

The second trip we headed to Luxor and visited the Valley of the Kings. It's a valley where tombs from the "...16th to 11th century have been discovered where Pharaohs and powerful nobles of the New Kingdom (the Eighteenth to the Twentieth Dynasties of Ancient Egypt)." Source Wikipedia I even visited Tutankhamun's tomb and saw the actual real mummy.. Creepy!

Besides that we met a fun group of kite surfers at the hotel which we hang out with quite a lot during the evenings. They brought us with them to experien soft music at a chill out beach party the first day which was awesome. The next night we spent almost four amazing hours watching the full moon eclipse from the open roof at their kite station, drinking beer and just chillin' out.

To sum it up it was a great week and I'm so happy I was able to enjoy it with my good friend K. We've already made plans for upcoming adventures later this winter. Our next project is to become a good scuba diver and take the appropriate certificate, preferably somewhere in Thailand. We'll see what happens. It's getting late now so I better get ready for bed. Sweet dreams
