Wonderful Wednesday.

Good morning dear readers, how are you feeling today? It's Wedneday, midweek and the weather could have been better. Only 6.7 °C outside and a very grey/cloudy sky but that can't affect my glorious mood that I'm having today! :) Simply because I'm going to see my love V tonight ♥ Finally after nearly two weeks apart. But before that I have to pack, organize my things that I'm bringing to Stockholm and an interesting seminar to prepare with a few classmates. 

V asked me the other day what I wanted to do tonight and I told him that I could do anything as long as we were together. He came up with an excellent idea, to cuddle up at home with a cup of hot chocolate and watch The chronicles of Narnia tonight, one of my all time favourite movies! :) Guess how much I long for tonight? *smiling* In other words there is nothing that can ruin this day! Anyway I better get going but I'll try to pop in here later this afternoon when I'm on the train.

It was so cold outdoors this morning so I decided to wear my warm forest green wool sweater from Zara, a classic Oxford shirt from Gant, blue jeans, navy blue jacket also from Zara and my Mulberry. When I came to the University library in the morning I saw the beautiful green wall who has now turned deep red, wonderful! I'm hoping that we take lots of picture in front of it before the snow comes! Anyway it's time to sleep, I've got a long day tomorrow. Finally heading to Stockholm!

Oh it has finally arrived after several days of waiting! Welcome dearest Scotchgrain Troutbag in brown Congo leather from Mulberry. I've always been a big fan of the British company and all their leather designs. This particular bag happen to be very rare, I say this because I've only seen one or two of them being sold on websites such as Ebay. I figured since I spent so many months working on my Bachelor thesis (in Swedish C-uppsats) I wanted to give myself a little present for all the hard work and here it is now! :) 

This beautiful bag will complete all my autumn looks not to mention spring and summer looks as well. I've always pictured myself going to the University having one of these stunning Mulberry bags on my shoulder. Well guess what, I'm taking my new darling out on an excursion tomorrow, I'm thinking she will blend in well with all the old books at the library ;) Haha well okey I think this is enough for tonight, I better try and get some sleep now. Sweet dreams!

My Love.

Tonight is one of those nights when I wish I could cuddle up and fall asleep in my love V's arms. Long distance relationship can be really demanding in many ways. We've had our rough turns every now and then these last two years and nine months, and when I say "we" I mean "me". Haha, normally I'm the one who snaps at him when I haven't been able to see him for a longer period of time. It's really weird in many ways, the best solution is always the same one, to see each other. Because as soon as we are together we pick up things where we left them. 

I've known V since the summer of 2004 when we started dating, things didn't work out back then since V had his mind on studying here at Örebro University and I was about to begin high school and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. I think both of us were too young and so we decided to remain friends. We stayed friends for many years and talked every now and then, but it wasn't until February 2012 we became a couple. I believe something happened inside V's mind as soon as I was settled in my new hometown Örebro ;) Later he was very persuasive in asking me if I wanted to ignore the rest of the guys in Örebro by becoming his girlfriend ♥ 

A decision which I have never regretted. Why? Because he is the reason I always wake up and fall asleep with a big smile on my face. He's the first thing that pops in to my mind in the morning and the last person I think about before falling asleep. I know, I know it sounds cheesy but what can I say.. I truly am crazy about him :) Besides my two brothers, no one else knows me as good as he does. Anyway, luckily I'll be able to see him in less than two days from now and I am so looking forward to it! Especially now that I've been so sick and all, I know he's going to take so good care of me the two days I'm home. See you soon love! 

Favourite Scene.

This is probably one of my favorite scenes of all time. I can watch it over and over again and never get tired of it :) Now that I think of it, I haven't seen this movie in a while so maybe I'll watch it again tonight. Perfect Sunday movie if you ask me! Anyway now I'm ready to start working! Later!

Autumn Leaf.

For those of you who don't know I am a huge fan of this season (autumn) and I love all the things that comes with it. One of them is how nature always shifts into a warmer colour palette with colours such as sunset orange, crispy yellow and cherry red. My absolute favourite leaf is the Canadian Maple leaf, not only because it makes me think of the delicious Canadian sirup but also because this is one of the most beautiful leaves that can turn into a variety of colours. I once had a golden brooch that was formed as a Maple leaf but unfortunately it broke and now I can't remember where I've put it. 

Anyway I happened to find these two colourful brooches the other day and fell completely in love with the design. A brooch is a way to make your coat a bit more personal and I always say that it tell you something about the person wearing it. If it's vintage there's probably an exciting story behind it. I'm thinking about ordering one of them, or perhaps both since I'm having such trouble in making up my mind :) However, I know they would look stunning on either my forest green oil coat or my  elegant camel coat. Either way I know I would be very happy wearing them and I'm sure I could come up with a story as well. 

Nails.

When it comes to personal hygien I believe that it is essential to take good care of your hands and nails. I mean we use them daily to perform all kinds of tasks while we also shake hands with many different people and so therefore they are always in focus. When I turned 25 years old I went to a salon and did my nails at a professional where she made some sort of french manicure with a nail extension. It was so pretty and I loved it! It lasted for about 3 weeks and the 4th week I had to remove them. Still, I know that this has become some sort of a trend nowadays and that women all over the world do manicure and pedicure very often. A good thing to reward yourself with ;)

So I'm thinking about doing something similar again within a few weeks. Below are some inspirational pictures that I have been looking at, just to get a picture of how I would want it. Still, it's so hard to decide since there are so many different options! Do you have any experience of doing nails at a salon? And if you were to choose one of these manicures which one would you prefer? :)

In search for.

This season I'm adding a new category to the blog "In search for" where I'll be writing about things that I have spotted in a shop or through the internet and that have been hard to find. I happen to be quite "picky" when it comes to design and materials and so when I get a certain idea of a product inside my head and that I'd like to find it can take me up to several months before I find the "right" product that complies with my original idea. Above are two examples. 

For months I've been looking for the "perfect Christmas shirt" and found this red one through one of the websites. It is a men's shirt and my goal is to visit the store and try it on first before ordering it. The second item is what I'd like to call the perfect black suede autumn boot from Zara. I have a similar pair from Topshop that I bought many years ago and that are completely worn out and I haven't find a good replacement until now. Unfortunately I'm not that tall so I'm wondering about the height of the boot? My boots at home are so called over-knee-boots but I think these ones might be shorter. Anyway I have to try them on the next time I'll be visiting Stockholm. 

The Little Black Dress.

I completely forgot about this cute dress that's been hanging in my closet for far too long. It's classic and sexy at the same time ;) Love the bare shoulders and it's the perfect length, not too short and not too long. I think most of the girls talked about having a black dress today so I'm guessing I won't stand out in the crowd :P I'll see if I can take a snapshot of my outfit later! Have a great day!

I'm in love with these gorgeous Tory Burch boots! I've been looking for a great pair to wear this autumn yet I haven't found the perfect boots yet. Perhaps I should save some money and look for a pair while I'm in Prague or London? :) 

Downton Abbey - Season Four.

Finally!! It's back! :) Oh I cannot tell you how much I have longed to see new episodes from this fantastic British drama serie "Downton Abbey". The first episode from season four was released yesterday here in Sweden. I cried happy tears, sad tears and tears of joy - there were so many feelings involved in last night's episode. This autumn and winter is saved! Hopefully there will be many exciting episodes throughout these upcoming weeks!

Last night I had four of my friends over to paint Marshmellows and pumpkins in all different kinds of sizes. Before their arrival I had decorated my apartment with black skull balloons, candles and my dining table was filled with lots of delicious treats such as green spookie cupcakes and a spider web chocolate cake. 

As you can see on the pictures in the collage above we painted pumpkins in both gold and white but also painted different faces and figures on marshmellows. I found these great pencils with eatable colour in them so the girls were so surprised when I said that they could eat their creations after finishing painting them! Over and all, the evening turned out to  be a success! I had lots of fun painting the pumpkins and I have planned to give away one or two later this weekend.. ;) Happy Halloween!

Puppy Eyes.

I have written about the Cavalier King Charles before, the friendliest and most warm hearted dog there is! As I might have mentioned previously, my family and I had a Cavalier when I was 7 years old. Unfortunately we couldn't keep him since both my parents worked a lot and with three younger children they barely had no time at all for the little fellow. 

However, I did make a promise to myself that sometime after finishing my studies I would get a dog. V and I have been talking about it a lot. Luckily he is not allergic! I'm doing all that I can to try to convince him to choose this little puppy! I know he would love it as much as I would! Besides it is also said to be a very good family-dog who loves children. Might be worth considering, for who knows what may happen in the future.. :)

Celebration.

A word that pretty much summarizes my weekend! :)

My boyfriend V woke me up on Saturday morning singing the Swedish version of "Happy Birthday" and entered the bedroom with my favorite cake and a candle, for which I made a wish and blew it out. He had arranged such a beautiful surprise, he had placed so many candles on the coffee table and in the middle stood a bottle of Champagne a long with two tall Champagne glasses. 

He told me to sit down in the sofa and he had placed a pillow on my usual "spot". It took me a few seconds before I realized that he had hidden "something" underneath it. I found a big white envelope with no text on it. While inside, there was a paper with a cool picture of an English telephone booth and a text that said.

"To my darling, 

I have known this for quite some time now, how fond you are of this special city and how much you have been longing to visit it. This is why I want to give you this trip to London so that we can experience all the unique treasures such as Madame Tussauds, shopping, the home of Harry Potter and most important above all - to spend time together just the two of us. All we need to do is to find a good date within a near future."

The joy, the excitement, the adventure - so many feelings that swept all over me! Truly it was the perfect Birthday present I could ever had wished for! Thank you my love once again, I am so looking forward to experience London with you this Spring! :) 

Later the same morning my younger brother E stopped by V's apartment, wanting to give me his Birthday present. After nearly two months of using my brilliant Macbook Pro it was time to upgrade it with some proper programs, which is why he decided to give me the entire Office-package for Mac!! Awesome! Now I can finally write serious documents and papers for University and take good notes from my lectures. Thank you E once again!! :) 

The day continued with some last-minute-shopping in town - I had still not found a dress to wear for the big Birthday dinner later the same evening. So V and I headed to town and I found a gorgeous dress at 70% SALE from French Connection. Super price and I felt very happy about it. Afterwards I headed to the hair salon to get my hair done and after that to another place to get my make-up done. It all looked stunning when I headed back home to change for the dinner - and yes I was in a little bit hurry by the end of the day but it all worked out perfectly! 

I was completely surprised when I entered the beautiful white room in the restaurant when suddenly all my family members and friends popped out and said "Surprise! And started singing Happy Birthday..". I was so moved deep down from my heart when I looked around and saw all the familiar, smiling and happy faces. Truly, a very special moment I will never forget. 

A lovely dinner waited for us, with laughter, wonderful speeches, lots of photographies taken and gift un-rapping. I had not expected any because I was only hoping that as many good friends of mine could come and celebrate me with my family & closest friends. It turned out that I got the most beautiful and personal gifts ever! I received jewelry, great books, amazing candy, unique Champagne glasses and a lovely porcelain bowl besides from all the happy faces and love that were present in the room. Not to mention my family's gift - a stunning white TV to have in my apartment in Örebro! My first TV!! :) 

Truly, it was a wonderful evening that followed up with lots of dancing at Underbara Bar (a local club in Stockholm) with all my friends who participated during the dinner. I didn't come home until 3:30 AM.. No wonder my feet were pretty sore yesterday ;) I just wanted to say thank you ALL once again, thank you to my amazing family who's always there for me and thank you to my beautiful friends who arranged the entire dinner!! I love you ALL so much! I feel so blessed to have such loving people around me in my life ♥

Most people who know me are already aware of the fact how much I love snowflakes! I have bracelet charms, earrings, photographies and so much more. No wonder I fell completely in love with the manicure above! Wow so beautiful!! If only I'd worn that on Christmas Eve.. I wonder how they have done it? Could it be painted or is it stickers? As I mentioned previously my 25th birthday is coming up very soon and so the plans for both my celebration, dinner and party is at full speed! Fascinating how fast time flies, feels like it was just yesterday I turned 18 and now I'm entering my mid-twenties? 

Anyway, I have decided to make a small birthday list. Somehow I always find it so hard to receive presents from other people, I prefer to give away presents and buying my own presents for myself. In that way I don't have to feel guilty for letting other people spend too much money on me, for that I am perfectly capable of doing myself ;) 

My first priority for this year's birthday is a quality handbag signed by Louis Vuitton. A timeless "Speedy 35" is one of my absolute favorites and a bag which will become more beautiful the older it gets. If one wishes to "age with style" this is one of the best accessories that will never get out of style. Therefore I do not only see it as a "normal purchase" but rather like an investment for life as it's value also increases with time. 

I happened to find a vintage one for a good price (see the link above), I have to wait until my paycheck arrives so cross your fingers that it will still be for sale by the end of this month!

An old friend of mine is studying politics at Uppsala University but is now on exchange in England. She's been travelling around the country and the latest pictures are from Sheffield and Chatsworth (Pemberley, the second picture above). It gives me so much inspiration and triggers me to start planning my own trip! 

I've been wanting to see more of England, Ireland and Scotland for so long! I would preferably want to go there around September/October next year, depending on the weather casts. What an adventure it would be..! And maybe I can get V to come along, I know he would love to play golf there! ;)
