Celebration.

A word that pretty much summarizes my weekend! :)

My boyfriend V woke me up on Saturday morning singing the Swedish version of "Happy Birthday" and entered the bedroom with my favorite cake and a candle, for which I made a wish and blew it out. He had arranged such a beautiful surprise, he had placed so many candles on the coffee table and in the middle stood a bottle of Champagne a long with two tall Champagne glasses. 

He told me to sit down in the sofa and he had placed a pillow on my usual "spot". It took me a few seconds before I realized that he had hidden "something" underneath it. I found a big white envelope with no text on it. While inside, there was a paper with a cool picture of an English telephone booth and a text that said.

"To my darling, 

I have known this for quite some time now, how fond you are of this special city and how much you have been longing to visit it. This is why I want to give you this trip to London so that we can experience all the unique treasures such as Madame Tussauds, shopping, the home of Harry Potter and most important above all - to spend time together just the two of us. All we need to do is to find a good date within a near future."

The joy, the excitement, the adventure - so many feelings that swept all over me! Truly it was the perfect Birthday present I could ever had wished for! Thank you my love once again, I am so looking forward to experience London with you this Spring! :) 

Later the same morning my younger brother E stopped by V's apartment, wanting to give me his Birthday present. After nearly two months of using my brilliant Macbook Pro it was time to upgrade it with some proper programs, which is why he decided to give me the entire Office-package for Mac!! Awesome! Now I can finally write serious documents and papers for University and take good notes from my lectures. Thank you E once again!! :) 

The day continued with some last-minute-shopping in town - I had still not found a dress to wear for the big Birthday dinner later the same evening. So V and I headed to town and I found a gorgeous dress at 70% SALE from French Connection. Super price and I felt very happy about it. Afterwards I headed to the hair salon to get my hair done and after that to another place to get my make-up done. It all looked stunning when I headed back home to change for the dinner - and yes I was in a little bit hurry by the end of the day but it all worked out perfectly! 

I was completely surprised when I entered the beautiful white room in the restaurant when suddenly all my family members and friends popped out and said "Surprise! And started singing Happy Birthday..". I was so moved deep down from my heart when I looked around and saw all the familiar, smiling and happy faces. Truly, a very special moment I will never forget. 

A lovely dinner waited for us, with laughter, wonderful speeches, lots of photographies taken and gift un-rapping. I had not expected any because I was only hoping that as many good friends of mine could come and celebrate me with my family & closest friends. It turned out that I got the most beautiful and personal gifts ever! I received jewelry, great books, amazing candy, unique Champagne glasses and a lovely porcelain bowl besides from all the happy faces and love that were present in the room. Not to mention my family's gift - a stunning white TV to have in my apartment in Örebro! My first TV!! :) 

Truly, it was a wonderful evening that followed up with lots of dancing at Underbara Bar (a local club in Stockholm) with all my friends who participated during the dinner. I didn't come home until 3:30 AM.. No wonder my feet were pretty sore yesterday ;) I just wanted to say thank you ALL once again, thank you to my amazing family who's always there for me and thank you to my beautiful friends who arranged the entire dinner!! I love you ALL so much! I feel so blessed to have such loving people around me in my life ♥

A very Happy New Year to all of my readers! I hope you have all had a wonderful Christmas and received a good start of this New Year! 

Sunny Saturday.

I woke up to the sound of smattering rain on our bedroom window and yet when I look outside now I see nothing but sunshine! I'm glad it turned around. Anyway today's been a rather soft day so far, I've finally had time to unpack my huge suitcases and I'm finally settling in here in V's apartment. 

I'm also working my first shift this summer at Zara tomorrow, looking forward to meet all the former colleagues! Tomorrow is also a special day as V & I are celebrating four months together as a couple! Still, it feels like we've been together for a much longer time, maybe it's because we've known each other for a long time.

Anyway, we celebrated it yesterday evening with a delicious home cooked meal (made by V!) and fresh strawberries dipped in chocolate for dessert. Amazing evening, thank you again my love for surprising me with such beautiful roses and romantic evening ♥ I love you more than anything in the world! Time to get ready and hit the town! I wish you all a great evening!

On the 30th of May (Wednesday) my youngest brother finally graduated! It was a day filled of joy and laughter, my family, friends and guests at our house had a great time. I'm so happy I made it to Stockholm to be able to be a part of his big day! Above are a few pictures that I took during the day.

Rise & shine people! I trust you had a good night's sleep? I came home pretty late from the movie night L, M and I had at M's place last night. Besides, I had booked the laundry room at 7 AM so I had to get up early, a bit too early I would say. Hopefully I can rest a bit on the train this afternoon as I'll be heading towards Stockholm. 

I try to ignore the two tired eyes that I met in this morning view in my bathroom mirror for today is a very special day. As I mentioned in the previous post V & I celebrate three months together as a couple today! Time has literally run away and still it feels so natural and as if we've been together for ages!

Therefore today my soul & spirit is filled with sparkles and a joy deep within. I often say to him, "If only there were enough words and symbols to describe how much I truly love you.." My life has taken a new turn now that you walked back in. After all the things we've been through I could not be more certain about you and me. 

My love grows deeper and profound for each day that passes us by. I honestly believe that I've found my best friend and true soul mate in you. There are so many things I look forward to doing with you! My heart is all yours, for the first time I know it's in the right place right next to yours. I love you V ♥

Terrific Tuesday.

I was hoping Spring was around the corner now that we've had several days with warmer temperatures but last night it turned around again. It kept snowing all night and it's literally pouring down heavy snowflakes outdoors as I'm typing this.

So cosy now that I'm all surrounded by warm candles yet longing for my love who happens to be far away. Talking about an awful thing to be forced to be apart on Valentine's Day. Still I must say that we have called upon each other all day by surprising one another with flowers (read roses) and V also arranged a little surprise for me, to find a few smaller gifts that he had hidden in my apartment during his stay here last weekend. It literally felt like Christmas morning..!

Besides that I've been studying with the girls during the morning before we all headed to my place in the afternoon to enjoy some Valentine's cupcakes and a delicious fruit salad that I made earlier today. K, L & me all have boyfriends while M is still single (but not for too long I shall think) ;) so I thought it would be a good idea to celebrate this day together and not by ourselves.

I hope you've all had a great day and that you've had lots of love around you. I feel so blessed to be surrounded by such amazing people and somehow it feels as if I've reached my first peak this year. A good point where I'm actually feeling very happy! Let's just hope that it will stay this way.

Wonderful Weekend.

It's Sunday evening, Coldplay's "Fix You" keep streaming out from my speakers and suddenly I realize that this wonderful weekend has now reached its end. I've had time to laugh, live & love with some of the people I admire and love the most. New acquaintances who have become beloved friends in a short period of time. Truly, I feel so blessed to be surrounded by such beautiful guarding angels. I love my girls ♥

Most important above all I spent Thursday, Friday & Saturday evening with my love from Stockholm. V and I have been old friends for a very long time and yes we did have a "fling" a couple years ago. Truth be told, it all started with a teenage-crush (!) I was head over heels in love with him during 7th grade (junior high) when he attended his last year in high school.

Many years have passed since then and yet we have been good friends all this time. Still, I cannot tell you how happy I am right this moment. Not only have we re-discovered our love for each other but also the deep bond that we share deep within. After all that we've been through, both good and bad experiences it feels extraordinary to have found this powerful energy between us and that it would lead us back to each other despite the distance between us now.

For I have found a kindred spirit, a man who knows and understands me by heart. A man who always makes me smile, whom I wish to share all my goals, ambitions, thoughts and unique qualities with. A special someone that keeps telling me beautiful words such as "I like you, just the way you are".

Thank you my love for spending time with me & creating such wonderful memories this weekend. For the ♥ 10th of February of 2012 ♥ will be a day to remember and a date I will carry close to my heart.

Here are a few pictures from Christmas Eve which I spent with my family and from the big celebration night at home after I got the great news that I got admitted to the University! I had so much fun both evenings and truly I feel blessed to have such an amazing family! Honestly I don't know what I would do without them! I love you mom, dad & my best brothers! ♥

Winter Vacations.

I've had a few days off enjoying my winter vacations therefore the absence here in the blog. Christmas is officially over and I can't believe tomorrow's New Year's Eve..! Anyway I'm happy to say that I've spent these days with my family & friends and truly we've all had a great time. My beloved family members and amazing friends gave me the best Christmas gifts, practical, useful & beautiful ♥ I love you all!

Besides that I also have some bad & good news. I'll start with the bad, unfortunately I received yet another cold a few days ago and so my poor and sore nose is all red again :( I have lost track of the number of times that I've been sick this fall, awful but I hope to get better soon! Now to the good news!

On the 27th of December, 01:03 PM I received the great news that I got admitted to the University of Örebro that I applied for January 2012!! The joy, the tears and excitement I felt that moment completely blew my mind! And so I've also been celebrating it with my family on both Tuesday & Wednesday this week with champagne and lots of love!

I still find it hard to believe but truly I feel so blessed and yes it was a bit of luck as well. Anyway I did manage to take pictures from both Christmas Eve and the big celebration from Wednesday evening so I'll try to make a collage and post them here later, so stay tuned! Have a great day!

It's been a great day with plenty of good news! As I wrote on the "daily list" below, my eldest cousin who lives in Miami, USA had a beautiful baby boy last night! Congratulations C & J for your little miracle, I'm so looking forward to see more pictures! God bless the three of you ♥

Around midday I also received an e-mail that confirmed my application for Örebro University and my upcoming studies starting in January 2012. I have qualified, still I'm the 1st reserve on their standby list so if any of the admitted students change their minds I'll get in! There's always someone that changes his or hers application and therefore I'm positive about it! By the 27th of December I'll know for sure. Cross your fingers for me please!

Today is a very special day as it is my dad's 65th birthday! We just came home from celebrating him with a delicious dinner at a restaurant called Grill.

He didn't expect it and we totally surprised him with the dinner and also when we came home with a chocolate pavlova birthday cake! Happy Birthday again dad, I hope you've had a great Birthday, we love you!! ♥

Today is a special Day as it is my youngest brother B's Birthday! I can't believe you're 18 now! Time has gone so fast, as I made this collage above I couldn't stop smiling at all the amazing moments that we've had together as siblings. I also look forward to the new ones that are to come!

I had a great time yesterday with two of my best friends E & L, celebrating E who turns 23 years old today! Happy Birthday sweetheart!! As you can see on the picture we ate lots of delicious red crayfish from the southern parts of Sweden. For those of you who don't know it's a Swedish tradition to eat this type of food around August every year, I sure love it!

We talked and laughed for hours, just the way it should be! I love you girls and honestly I don't know what I'd do without you ♥ May we stay in contact now that L will be moving first to Gothenburg and then for Australia (!) and I'll be heading towards Örebro in January, I promise you there are many good years to come!

Fun Happenings.

I am truly so sorry for my absence these last couple of days (weeks?) but I can assure you that I have been occupied with many fun happenings worth telling you about! For example one of my younger brothers E turned 21 years old last Wednesday ♥ (11th of May) and the entire family went out for dinner to celebrate him with the best Thai food served in Stockholm (that is, if you ask for my opinion). Another fun evening was spent at The Royal Opera where one of my best friends E & I went to see "La Bohéme" - "Youth, life in the big city, poverty, hope, love – Giacomo Puccini composed his story about the Parisian Bohemians in 1896, but the events could take place anywhere among young people struggling to find a life of their own. In its concentrated realism, this is a very strong modern opera with both humorous and painfully beautiful music." Source.

Other than that I've been busy with work & school. Luckily my last day at school will be on the 27th of May, not that far away and I honestly can't wait to get some free time from studying. Anyway time to prepare some lunch! I wish you all a great day :)
