Dalí Dalí & Francesco Vezzoli.

Pictures: Moderna Museet

"Drawing is the honesty of the art. There is no possibility of cheating. It is either good or bad. " Salvador Dalí. The truth lies in the words of Salvador Dalí. I spent most of today at the Modern Museum also known as "Moderna Museet" in Stockholm with my family. They have an unique exhibition at the moment about one of my favourite artists of all time, Salvador Dalí.

"This exhibition brings together two artists, Salvador Dalí (1904-1989) and Francesco Vezzoli (b.1971), with the idea of putting Dalí’s oeuvre in a contemporary context and looking at Vezzoli from a historical perspective. The exhibition highlights the artist role that Salvador Dalí assumed. It also experiments with the exhibition phenomenon itself, by juxtaposing a historical artist with a contemporary artist, Francesco Vezzoli." About the exhibition, Moderna Museet

It was an instructive experience considering all the new information people have gathered about this great artist through time. Also to be able to see a selected collection of his most famous works hanging there on the white walls almost gave me goosebumps (!). Although, all paintings were not there and unfortunately neither was none of my personal favourites signed by Dalí. In fact I happened to found a new favourite instead, "Métamorphose de Narcisse" 1937.

In other words, a great Saturday! :)
