Ever since I was introduced to the Apple/Mac World I've had the thought that one day I might switch from PC to Mac. It all begun with my first black iPod nano which I absolutely loved and have been using a lot. Next purchase was the iPhone 3 and now iPhone 4, in other words it feels as if I've gotten quite used to these products and it's technical family.
I've had two laptops the last eight years, both of them PC's and from Sony Vaio. Both of them have been great computers all though I've been introduced to new and more advanced picture editing programmes. From what I've heard Apple is a lot better to use when it comes to Photoshop etc.
Considering I'm starting Uni. also next year I'd like to have a fresh start with a new & modern technical equipment. Besides the Sony Vaio I have today weights 1,5 kg (!) which is a lot when you have to carry it with you. I'd like to find a lighter and faster alternative which is why my eyes fell on this little baby, the Macbook air. Although I've heard that its big brother the Macbook pro is a lot better for other more advanced programmes, essay writing etc.
I think I'll have to take a closer look and compare them with other PC's before I take any decision. If any of you are familiar with both operative systems what would you say is the biggest difference between these them? I would very much appreciate any tips & advice!
